HISTORY

The Council was formed 20 years ago by the Holy Spirit through His able and dedicated men of God after long prayers and commitments to the call. The need for such group in the body of Christ in these last days became so important that when thr conviction of the Holy Spirit came we could not resist it. The need to foster unity among our members and to bring together churches and leaders standalone under one umbrella for an Apostolic covering. The council s a non-denominational ecclesistical body whose mandate is to: Help Churches and minsters of the Gospel to promote sound doctorine of Jesus Christ Educate ministers of the Gospel through teaching, preaching and seminars Help ordain and consecrate ministers of the Gospel Help build member churches through crusades worldwide.

International Council for Gospel Churches is registered under the laws of the Republic of Ghana. His Eminence Professor Richard Lartey Lawson is the presiding Arcbishop of the council. Funding members who sort the face of the Lord to bring the council into being, notable among them is Rt. Rev. Bishop Doku Duah, Snr. Bishop Isaac Kwame Amponsah, Apostle Irene Adu-Gyamfi, Bishop Michael Kwame Adusei, Bishop Dorcas Akosa and many others.

The council has branches across the country namely Greater Accra, Ashanti Region, Central Region, Brong Ahafo, Eastern Region, Western Region and Volta Region. Archbishop Professor Emamanuel Osei-Bonsu is the presiding archbishop of the U.S.A and the Caribbean provinces whose marvelous works in the Lord touches and reaches out to many across the world.

To inspires ministers of God and affiliate Churches to practice sound doctrine through Christian education and set standard in ministerial ethics to ensure sanity and sanctity of the glorious gospel.

Seek to release ministers into reaching their desired end in finding fulfillment in their respective ministries and to raise a strong United force among ministers and churches for evangelism, spiritual prosperity and the well being of the nation
